Is the Left in the US Against Psychoanalysis?
In the US context psychoanalysis itself has up until very recently been sort of marching ever more conservatively, even as there's been you know that gang of four feminists psycho analysts in New York in the 80s. More and more young people on the left are interested in what psychoanalysis either has to offer them as individuals or it reminded me of late stage capitalism. So we know do Vienna 1890 or also politically that there's something that isn't just accounted for. And we need a kind of additional not substitution but additional accounting, whether that's post 2016 or post 2008 harder to say.
