Is There a Time Limit?
We have access to all these traditions, but we've absorbed all the crust and mythology of the tradition in an uncritical way also. I think that each culture that encountered Buddhism then spent about 500 years absorbing Buddhism into their culture. It takes a long time to really understand how it works for you. So just the fact that we have more information doesn't really mean much if people aren't applying it.
