Are the Milky Way and Andromeda Dead?

Giant elliptical galaxies are pretty much dead, says Mericio togneri. And so even if you go billions of years into the future, it's just going to turn redder andredder and redder. The universe is expanding. When we get to some point the galaxy clusters will be accelerating away from us. It will appear that theyare oing faster than the speed of light from our perspective. They will fall over the cosmic horizon, and they will red shift away,. out into the radio waves, and effectively be invisible from our perspective - but not gone. Its just very faint.
