The Democratic Party Misses Other Phenomena Coming Their Way

Ryan: The Democratic Party has just been so good the last several cycles at just missing phenomena that are coming its way. What they missed in 2016 is how angry people are at the fact that they're living at the effect of an unjust economic system, and my fear is that they're making the same mistake this time. Ryan: If anybody in our own ranks wants to acknowledge it, as Bernie did in 16 and 20, we will suppress them even though they have such high popularity. And I think that's dangerous for the Democrats winning in 2024 and much more significantly dangerous for our country.
