Dorian Abbott is an associate professor of geophysical sciences at the University of Chicago and a founding member of the Academic Freedom Alliance. Bernard Trout is the Raymond F. Bador Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. David Rompes is a professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Science at the Universityof California at Berkeley. In June 2021, she published an essay in the Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters on the Paral of Politicizing Science which has since been downloaded more than 64,000 times.
