The Fear of AI Killing Us All

Some people are afraid that AI is going to kill us all. Do you have any thoughts about that? I don't even feel like enough of an expert to like, I listened to all the same podcast and I'm reading all the same stuff as everybody else,. My gut says no, I'm very optimistic, but I think I'm just choosing to be optimistic. If there is like a 10% chance that it's going to like destroy us, I don't think it will stop people developing it.
