Attack of Monsters and Friendship

The main character is attacked by monsters during a game of dodgeball and is ridiculed by other children for being different. However, his friend Tyson comes to the rescue and the chapter highlights the theme of friendship. It also introduces the character Annabeth and their escape from a dangerous situation at school.
