When did dinosaurs become less like their reptile ancestors and more like birds? Matilla Taliento of Gute University Frankfurt investigated that question through the isotopic composition of dinosaur eggshells. The researchers focused on Truodon, a species that sits at the transition between dinosaurs and birds. They hoped to learn whether Truodon's egg forming process was more like modern reptiles or modern birds.
