Matilla Taliento of Gute University Frankfurt investigated that question through the isotopic composition of dinosaur eggshells. The researchers focused on Truodon, a species that sits at the transition between dinosaurs and birds. They hoped to learn whether Truodon's egg forming process was more like modern reptiles or modern birds.
