The Economicization of the German University System
The German university system was all the time state-based, all the time. It was started in the medieval, it's the oldest German university in Heidelberg. The OECD is saying at least 40 or 50% of the generation should have a chance to go to university. In 1985 the quota was 22% in 2016, 52% in the OECD. And if you are defining such quota for academia, it makes clear that the 50% who are in the university system are better off. and the other 50% are not. So from this point is the two different aspects of kind of economicization.
