The Anatomy of a Rain Tank
The most important pre-filtration device on a rainwater harvesting system is actually the rain head. The downspouts which carry the water from the roof down to the tank are really important. We've talked about the sludge layer in the biofilms which we can dive into later, and how those act as a form of bio remediation for the water. A lot of people using these small tanks that I see just way too many permaculturists using they're not properly sized.
