The History of Birth Control

Contraception was used to prevent pregnancy, but also for more serious reasons like denying those who had enslaved them the chance to profit off their children being born. So it became really, really important for some groups to be having access to some sort of contraceptive care. And once again, enslaved people's would share this information, not just within the community, but with the white people that were enslaving them as well. I'm hearing echoes of communities using birth control as a means to push against society and against the powers that be, which is very interesting. This seems like a common trend.
