The Problem With Higher Order Components

Roxanne Jones: I wonder about what if the API's for like Redux and routers and stuff had been more like yeah, you just you need to add your like to register with us or whatever. You kind of do it in that event listener style instead and you say like, you know, register me in your mouth or whatever and then unregister me when you unmount and that's it. There might have been a way to like maybe give hooks to the developers rather than giving some API to library maintainers but there was no such thing in the React RFC.
