Sensationalism isn't just about saying now we need to care about non-human animals it actually also needs to inherit all of the modern you know human ethics as well. Centiocentrism cares about all sentient beings but there are further levels such as a biosyntrism that cares about all living things. There's a frustration in many environmentalists who will side step the problems of animal agriculture and you'll see people like Mona Camilla working on both sides of this issue.
