German Critical Energy Infrastructure

Germany is heavily dependent on Russian gas imports. BASF, the huge chemical concern has had to shut down or put on standby something like a hundred of its factories across all of Europe. Germany's economy is one of the most effective in so much as everybody's looking at very anemic growth this year. In May for the first time in 30 years, Germany ran a trade deficit. The export Meister has suddenly fallen on its knees. And our whole thing is screwed because we used to take cheap energy and produce extremely high quality widgets. But it's also, and this is the shocker for the Germans, I think this is what really shook up the industry here.
