Is Forgiveness a Release From Blame?
Forgiving involves a release from having an act held against you in the way the person emotionally seis. When i stop presenting you, i stop seeing this action as characterizing the way i feel about you. So is that to say that forgiveness isn't an internal act? It's it's a change of feelings inside the forgiver and almost transforms the forgiver more than it does the forgiven. I don't think that we as human beings exist totally separately from our attitudes towards each other. And forgiveness most fundamentally takes place in interpersonal relationships.
