The History of Multiplexes in Times Square
Lows built a 2000 seat theater okay at 83rd street and Broadway in 1921 it was awesome designed by Thomas Lam well that theater would serve lows really well for decades but then it had to accommodate to more screens. In 1991 when it was carved up into seven screens and renamed the village east cinema what's interesting about the village east is you can still see many of those decorative flourishes inside much of the original ornamentation are still intact. The revitalization of Times Square starting in the 1990s actually brought a lot of movie theaters back to the area right?
