The Last Book of the Bible Focuses on Domesticity
The last story in this collection goes back to Mary, but many years in the future when Jesus is already risen from the dead and ascended into heaven. It's so focused on their domestic life together and how she like tries to get him to eat because he's too obsessed with his visions and forgets to eat. So there again, I think that really points to that valuation of domesticity as a place where God would come quietly if he came among us.
