The Evolution of Aquinas After Aristotle

Aquinas does not hold that species can again arise one from another. So he accepts gradualism after Augustine, which is not equivalent to the modern evolutionary theory. He believes every entity in this case a living organism consists of two metaphysical principles, existence and essence. Existence is the very fact that something exists. How does it do it?
