The Problem With Euphemisms

At age 12 I was like, okay, so if I kissed a boy for too long, I'm going to get a child of warts. That's actually what was going on in my head. A person with herpes is contagious not only when the virus is awake and blisters pop out, but also just before symptoms occur. During that time, the herpes virus is very easily passed to someone else through skin to skin contact. So this is a problem with using euphemisms instead of actually giving information.
