Was There a Connection With the Murder of Susan Sutton?

The gun that killed susan sutton and blinded her husband was linked to a car cop. Did his friend, christopher, know anything? Was he even perhaps involved? Shocking question, of course, this was sutton's son who devoted himself to nursing his father back to health after the shooting.
