NASA and the Marshall Plan for the South

LZ Granderson: NASA had a mandate. But also Linda Bain Johnson was like, he's like, you know what? I want to have a Marshall plan for the South. He says if they said 20% of NASA employees must be Confederate veterans, it would lead to hiring more people who don't want to work there. LZ: If that were true, then we wouldn't just locate NASA in Houston or Cape Canaveral but instead use different methods and tactics as well.
