Official death toll was only eight, sometimes six, depending on which history book you read. Many of the anonymous poor might have been cremated in their homes. But shocking to think that more people died in the Grenfell fire of 2017 than the great fire of London in 1666. Still the poor who live in the most dangerous housing and struggle to get compensation or justice after the event.
