The History of Prostitution

In 1913, a look at prostitution gets a big scientific examination. In 1917, the Commission on Training Camp Activities is created by the US federal government in the US to deal with sexual and moral aspects of training camps. On July 9, 1918, Congress passes the Chamberlain Con Act made it possible for the government to quarantine for the protection of the military and naval force of the US any woman suspected of having venereal disease. Similar measures were being taken out at this time in Russia in an anti-capitalistic direction.
