Is There a God in Heaven?

I think that something this absurd and this incoherent, it's very hard to come up with an intellectual explanation for why people would believe this. I really think a heck of a lot of it has to do with that because it simply justifies us in being able to do whatever it is that we want. When you talk about a critique of materialism, people almost immediately bring up God. And so I think as long as it sort of helps to underwrite in world behavior that people want to engage in, we're going to have to deal with it.
