The Bosnian Uprising
The bosnian uprising took place in 18 31, a few years after russia defeated the ottomans during the greek war for independence. Furious about the defeat and the loste tory, sultan mahmud the second introduced various measures to reform the feudal and military systems in bosnia. Eventually, the sublime ports decided they could not allow one of their provinces to defy the law and the sultan led to fighting between the ottoman government and the bosnians. Ottoman forces finally put down the rebellion in 18 32 and proceeded to implement many of the sultan's reforms.
