Despite whatever genes you and I have inherited from our parents we can exert an influence over the expression of those genes so despite your genotype you can cause changes in your phenotype. The average climber will need 10 or 20 years to fully develop in each of these areas mind body technique and belief system. employing a coach can be quite helpful for many climbers if you are plateaued for a period of time  a veteran coach a proven coach will help you course correct and decipher what you need to do differently with less strain and pain now. that you climb with are a wonderful resource and there's synergy to be had in elevating stoke and motivating each other by climbing together.
