The Rest Cure for Depression

After giving birth to a daughter, Charlotte decides she doesn't like being married and isn't suited for domestic life. She's also suffering from what they called at the time, Melancholia, which we know now as postpartum depression. A man named Dr. Silas, we are Mitchell, who lived and worked out of Philadelphia took Charlotte in as a patient and prescribed her the rest cure.
