The Test of Fellowship to Believe and Confession That Joseph Lived and Died a Prophet of God in Good Standing
In October of 1844, Brigham Young said it is the test of our fellowship to believe and confess that Joseph lived and died a prophet of God in good standing. If you don't think that Joseph Smith was a prophet when he was shot in Carthage, then I don't want you. He says there has never been a man who stood between Joseph and the 12 unless we apostatize.
