Washing Powders - How Do They Work?

Clothes get dirty because they pick up muck from the environment. When we wash clothes in that way, washing powders do several things. They dislodge dirt, dissolved dirt, eat away at dirt and also make your clothes look clean and bright. Other ways to clean things with bleaches are chemicals which have the ability to do oxidation. In fact yesterday I was having a very interesting conversation with a chap in Queen's University Belfast who has invented a way to make plastic that self-sterilizes.
