Water in the Colorado River Basin

The majority of water used in the Colorado River basin, about 70 to 80%, is used for agriculture like re-enching and firming. The river provides hydropower from the dams that run the entire length of the river. A smaller portion of the river is reserved for municipal use. Mexico also uses it, but wasn't included in the original Compact.
