The Importance of Understanding the Nature of Consciousness
In order to know what anything truly is we must first know the nature of that which knows it. The human mind is like a pair of orange tinted glasses and it has two basic faculties. A thinking confers names upon reality and perceiving confers forms on reality. Reality is really there, but it appears to us in accordance with the limitations of the faculties through which we perceive it. If our minds were configured in terms of thinking and perceiving, we see a four dimensional world that is in a single dimension. That's time perceiving takes place in three dimensions. Time and space are not inherent in reality. Contemporary physics confirms this now.
