Dandelions as transcending earth and sun as being these powerful medicines not only for our bodies but medicine for land. They are such a wonderful food source for early emerging pollinators in this country so they're there for those first bees that crawl out when the first warmth comes after after winter even before spring has started. Mary Grace Patolfo: What do you see as the role of writers at this time for those of us who write fiction as well as nonfiction and poetry? Richard Paz: To have the privilege of carrying story of being a conduit for story and being a translator in a sense is always there.
