Languages that aren't written have names for sounds too. Do you think there is a named sound for every animal, even animals that don't really make sounds? No, if the animal doesn't really have a cultural importance, then we don't really need a sound for the sound that it makes. In Turkish, they don't have a pig sound because in the culture, the pig is not in farms and these sort of settings which children's books will be about.
