The DMT Effect, You Know, Is Not Your Brain on Drugs

When I first started the work, I was not sure about how I would react to people's stories. Early on, it seemed as if my interpreting or understanding their accounts as actually, I have something else than what you know, they were actually living. And at a certain point, I decided to engage in a thought experiment and treat their accounts as accounts of real things. You know, traveling to India is not a dream, it isn't a young age archetype, it's not your brain on drugs, you know,. so, you know, once I get settled into that approach, I think the observer effect was minimized as well.
