The Importance of Original Manuscripts
In some cases, is there an original quote unquote autograph to go back to? In some cases, I think that's absolutely the case. But when you're thinking about things like the creation stories or the flood story, these aren't things that are written by Frank. It's not like one guy sitting down and writing this story. These things are being passed on in this oral culture through oral tradition. And so what that means is you've got different versions, different forms of the essentially the same story.
