The Nuclear Family Is Not Conservatism

The family used to be primarily a business enterprise in which parents and children workd together. And the children would gain status in the family and in the neighborhoodby working in the family business. That image of the nuclear family is not conservative. It's a kind of religion. The shattering of the family at the age of 18 or 20 when the children go off to college and never come back again. Before it's a technological shattering.
