The Importance of Imagining Different Chessboards

The skill of being able to visualize better than your opponent is probably the most important skill. But there's also just preparation which you can actually memorize some things. The ability to imagine other possibilities and to consider more options and then evaluate them correctly all of that, that's kind of what we call like calculations slash visualization.
