How Can We Learn From Animals?

We cannot empathize with them fully becausewe they cannot tell us what they're thinking and feeling, right? We can observe species that aren't human and draw understandings from them. And then we can turn around and say, well, we as thinking, feeling, poetic, artistic, musical animals, can make sense of our own experience. So how can what we learn from the animals inform our human existence? We can, and we should. It behoves us to try to understand the perspective of an animal.
