Is There a Need for People to Answer Crisis Lines?
80% of the calls that come in they can manage on the phone alone. Four states, might be five, now have passed legislation that charges a fee if you dialed the number. The fees would go towards this life line, which brings in millions of dollars. But it doesn't help us really look at the continuum of care, including things like mobile crisis units and places that people can go who are in need of help.
