The Bank of England and the Inflation Problem

We thought we'd solved it ourselves, but that was kind of hubristic. We're in the European Union and we've found a kind of settlement. And almost I wonder whether the Bank of England is the last plank. All of the other bits of that settlement have gone with the financial crisis. The British economy was based on using the proceeds of growth to fund public services. What happens when you don't have much growth? Now we're into a situation where inflation is back as a problem.
