There was a lot of rumbling in the community about this thing that certain US government agencies are not recommending to stop using languages that are not memory safe, which obviously includes C and C++. And so then there was a discussion about what safety even means because it also kind of means different things to different people. We have a new study group for safety on the super sauce committee and they're going to be looking at this kind of like specifically. But yeah, it's very much not clear where this is going.
