i found myself nodding throughout this whole essay as i was reading it. And i think there are certain nuances, like you said, that he just has nailed on the head. He clarifies how some cities may, at the surface, seem to have very parallel messages but there's nuance to it. For example, money matters in sillikan valley and new york. But someone in new york may be impressed just at the fact that some one has money. In silikan valley, they don't care about the fact that you just have money. There is that nuance in terms of whom people respect.
We all know that where you live is one of the most important decisions you can make, but it may be more important than you think. And with more people working remotely, there is no more freedom than ever in deciding where you call "home."
