Long Term Care Insurance Rates Are Going Up
Average cost of home care services increased by about $1,000 annually between 2000 and 2020. Average private room in a nursing home jumped by about $2,500 each year during that same time period. 10,000 baby boomers turning 65 every single day are going to need this type of service or are going into the service. That's a huge strain on supply and trained professionals. And that's why that's why these rates are going up.
