The word for a penis is actually female. That's just like the most extreme example of how it's illogical to have masculine and feminine, uh, nouns. But also you're right, that affects other parts of the sentence as well. So the adjectives that you use for those nouns also have to match the gender. And, uh, it gets very complicated. We've got many different words for the same thing with slightly different meanings or slightly different levels of tone. English is a mashup of all these other different languages. Like a bit of Germanic and French and sort of Latin and Anglo-Saxon. It's all sort of squished in altogether.
In conversation with Mysterious Al, a contemporary artist / street artist from London now living in Melbourne, Australia. The conversation covers Al's background, how he makes his art, the difference between street art & graffiti, attitudes towards graffiti, how Al needs to use social media (but doesn't like it!) his recent ghost train exhibition, and more.
