How to Resurrect the Mammoth

The last woolly mammoth died out four or five thousand years ago. The ones that we have remains of are having frozen in the permafrost all that time. If you freeze any sort of cell without some special preservation method, what will happen is the cells will shatter and the DNA will leak away so you can't make a woolly mammoth by cloning. But there may be another way around it instead. There's this whole other technique called gene editing and there is this group called colossal who are trying to resurrect them.
