The Importance of Free Speech in Education
I think that universities, obviously private is different than public and for all sorts of legal word reasons. But the university was not originally conceived of as a platform for performative displays of rebellion. And academic freedom and free speech are not the same thing. I have never had a problem with towns or cities or states banning strip clubs, right? Or pornography. It creates unhealthy citizens to have the prevalence of pornography that we do today.
