The pathophysiology or the way that tendinopathy manifests itself is pretty complicated. It has to do with a mostly non-inflammatory disorganization of the tendin tissue, and rest does not reverse that. So patients who are basically bed-bound in the hospital, they get tendinopathy without exercising, because they're not doing anything. The exercise, amount of modification, volume, dose, adjustment, all that kind of stuff comes into play.
