CHAPTER

The Role of an Audio Descriptor in Theatre

Audio description is a means of conveying through succinct and visual language. Lonnie's role for vocalise is to work alongside an audio describer, but specifically to train members of staff who work in theatres or museums. In the theatre, the audio description is broadcast live, or it might be pre-recorded for a museum or something like that. If you're lying, you can do crack, you can say crack if you want to, as a sort of an extra effect. So, where does this come from? This is a description from the Noel Coward play, Blythe Spirit,. about a seance that lets ghostly spirits loose in a suburban house.
