The Importance of Closedness in Decision Making
The need and avoidance of closure is basically conceptualized as an end to a continuum ranging in strong strivings for closure and the resistance for closure. The longer that process was, the harder it is to get closure because there are so many things that could point to the reason why it finally happened. There's not simple answers when there's long processes. A high need for closure might invite a bias in selecting the most relevant information one should attend to for increasing chances of adaptation or sustaining cognitive manipulations needed to achieve particular outcomes.
