If we devote ourselves single mindedly to the mission of pursuing god's kingdom and his righteousness, all of the rest of our life will fall into place as well. I hope this is all adding up to you. My hope would be that this assumption is true, that a single minded man or woman will be stable in all their ways. They will be decise. If you're single mindedly devoted to god, you will be person of purpose who pursues all your goals with purpose.
